Located on the banks of the Grand River in Grand Ledge, Michigan, Fitzgerald Park is a 78 acre oasis for year round fun and relaxation. This wonderful park is best known as the home of the “Ledges”—ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings lining the shores of the Grand River. These amazing geological features offer beautiful scenic views and an excellent opportunity to learn and explore the wonders of nature.  In addition to beautiful scenic views, Fitzgerald Park also features: picnic sites, three miles of nature trails, two ball diamonds, a volleyball court, a basketball court, two horseshoe pits, a sledding hill, a playground, cross-country ski trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, a nature center and a canoe launch.

Island ParkIsland Park is located on the largest of Grand Ledge’s famous “Seven Islands.” At the turn of the 19th Century, it held a hotel, casino, roller coaster and resort. Now, Island Park is the venue for the Color Cruise and Island Festival, the Island Art Fair, Civil War encampments during Victorian Day, and numerous weddings.

Inside Ledge Craft, you will find two floors of unique gifts and art for everyone.  Oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, fabric art, household novelties; napkins, tabler runners embellished towels, and pillowcases.  There is pottery, jewelry, cards, hand-knitted, crocheted and quilted items, woven rugs, bath &  products, baskets, fabric art and seasonal décor.  Each month, a different Michigan artist is featured in the gallery.

The Talbert and Leota Abrams Planetarium, located on the beautiful Michigan State University campus, serves as an astronomy and space science education resource center for central Michigan. The planetarium is an outreach unit of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, and as such, we support astronomy teaching on campus as well as offer a variety of planetarium shows to the public--preschool through senior citizens.
